What Jude is trying to say is that I got involved in this mess. I have friends who live in the same region of Romania where Dan lives and if Jude's investigator friend (who visited Dan) says that Dan still hasn't made a decision or we don't hear from Dan, then Jude has in mind to release Dan's info to me.

I will try to put some heat on Dan and see if we can at least get him to admit that he either lost all our funds or just simply doesn't want to give it back (ie stole it).

I can't promise much but I'll do my best to help us all out because this is just pissing me off and it's getting ridiculous. I'm tired of playing the waiting game.

Allen your money is GONE....Jude knows this....As does anyone who's been around the block in this arena...
'Dan' if he even exists has scammed you all....You won't see a dime back from this one....Never ever...

You really need to accept this and to move on....You could pursue this 'Dan' guy but IMO you just throwing good money after bad....
And be extra cautious of ANYONE who offers you help to track/pursue this Dan with money needed to be paid by you for this or that...
It's common with successful 419 scammers to use this method....They just pass you onto one of their mates who scams you again on the pretext of tracking down the first scammer.......

If Jude is even suggesting that what I'm posting here is not correct then he's not half the mate you think he is......
He's leading you along on a string and it's making me sick to sit here and watch

That's the way I personally feel. I told this to Jude also, but he seems more optimistic than me. I think what happened is that Dan realized that it's far easier to just run with our money than to bother refunding us - after all a guilty conscience (if he has one that is) can be silenced with lots of $$$ - ours.

Don't get the wrong idea, I won't ask for anyone's money nor do I need it. And I hope you are not subtly making some allusions.

If this was started in USA or UK or Australia then you can explore ways to go after your money....If the money still exists that is...If not then best you can do is lobby to Law Enforcement and hope he goes to jail...

But this one is not in such a country....Going after this guy IF HE EXISTS will cost money...Good money...coming from YOUR pocket...

BTW...Do you personally know for a fact that he exists??....Or did Jude tell you that he does??...

Hmm, well, you've got a point there. The only thing I'm sure of is that I've talked to someone on numerous occasions via Yahoo IM who lead me to believe that he's Dan from LH. My impression of him was that he has a very good command of English for a foreigner and did not display any of the characteristically foreign speech (written I mean) patterns that I see with say some Nigerian or Asian scammers (no disrespect to Asians - just an example) I know it's not just Jude pretending to be someone else as Jude has certain expressions and ways of talking that I'm sure would've been hard to suppress.

So in conclusion I think the guy exists and from what Jude told me I know where he lives but I do not know his exact name and other such details. If I had them what I was planning on doing is report him to the local police authorities or possibly something else. I have some family relations in Romania in that region where Dan supposedly lives so I can get someone to do the grunt work for me and report him.

From what I can gather it appears Jude is still hoping Dan will make good. So at this point what happens from here onwards depends on whether someone in the know releases Dan's info, and as far as I know only Jude and his investigator buddy from Greece knows Dan's details - if I'm not mistaken that is.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them.
