Yep, an IRA is just a retirement investment plan that the government agrees not to tax. Here in Canada we call them RRSP's or Registered Retirement Savings Plans. There is a panoply of "registered" (meaning tax free) investment programs.

I am also using IRA (Roth & Traditional) funds to put into EBL, but I'm not using Pensco. It's important to realize that each trustee has different requirements. Some (most) won't allow these kinds of transactions, while others might. Pensco is just one trustee who does. I have an account with RBC Dain Rauscher and they didn't need to know anything about the specific vehicle that I was using. This is because I set up an LLC and had my IRA's purchase a stake in it. The LLC then does whatever it wants (buys real estate, loans money to EBL, etc...).

epayday's method doesn't require setting up an LLC which has the advantage of less documentation and accounting. Not sure if I could have done it this way with my trustee which is why I went the route that I did. Just goes to show you that there's more than one way to skin a cat I guess.

For those contemplating this kind of move, please make sure you have a good accountant who knows how to deal with these kinds of transactions. You can create quite a mess if you don't set up and manage these transactions properly.

BTW, epayday and I have discussed this over the phone quite a bit. We are both going to visit CJ in LV this weekend.

CJ left me with the impression that he was someone that I can trust. He's smart with his personal money as well as the money he works with in his business. He's more of a 'character' than I expected for an accountant, but I really like him.

Though I can't share what we discussed publicly, I will say that my confidence in the program is even higher than it was a week ago (and it was reasonable high before I went).

I think epayday feels the same as I do.

The migration to the new website has started. Those who were about to sign up will have to wait until the new website is online. I know we were told hopefully it will be up around July 4th, but it looks like no promises are being made. Also, you now have to provide your ID papers to get your withdrawals.

Earn By Loaning is getting even more legal as the days pass. I am very excited about the fact that this has turned out to be a great program to be in.

I bet those who lost their shirts in the illegal e-gold HYIPs are now wishing they hadn't laughed and insulted me in the early days and had made a deposit here instead. Too bad. It's now my time to laugh, all the way to the bank.

Laughing at others misfortunes is not a great idea.

You never know when it's going to come back around. Besides, I'd like to see everyone succeed in what they do... Why not? Makes the world a better place IMHO.

Heck, I've had my share of ridicule, but in my experience, rising above it make me not only stonger, but a lot happier to.
