All I can say to my fellow Americans is in this quote from the movie V for Vendetta:

Quote:
And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?

Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.

How did this happen?

Who's to blame?

Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high king, George W. Bush. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

I agree Nelson, but with all of the distractions posed to people in the USA, nobody pays attention to politics or has a grasp of the reasons behind alot of the legislation that goes on, i think the politicians themselves often do not have a real grasp of alot of the bills that are passed.

Take the current immigration reform, they were trying to push for a vote on a 10000 page bill in something like three days! I don't know about you guys but that is a alot of reading let alone comprehending to do in such a short time.

Some kind of eye opening event is going to have to happen to distract peole from "American Idol", and "Paris Hilton" long enough to take a look around and start thinking again, and I really don't know what that will be.

Red face Re: earnbyloaning.com

I apologize for opening the can of worms et el "SEC". I just thought it was important to cover all bases just in case it comes up again in the future, and the fact that it was mentioned earlier in this thread. I have confidence that Craig's lawyer knows how to handle the SEC shark if and when it will start to circle EBL and before it will bite EBL. I'm still elated by the news from epayday about his Roth - IRA being approved by Pensco to be loaned through EBL.

HedgeHog,

Have you ever read this from support? I found this link from the EBL forum to be interesting regarding your SEC concerns.

I've been away for a while and just finished reading this thread since my last comment. First, I want to say how thrilled I am that Pensco Trust has investigated and approved EBL for epayday's self-directed Roth IRA. This is huge! Can you imagine what Penso Trust's response would have been to 99.99% of other programs?

Second, someone a few pages back asked me where I filed my complaint about my ex-husband defaulting on his loan through bankruptcy. The bankruptcy court notified me about the potential default and where to file a complaint. I simply followed their directions. I'm assuming that I was asked in case of EBL defaulting on their loans. IF that ever occurs, each loaner will be notified and the notification should include instructions on where to file a complaint. The list for notification will come from the legally binding Lender's Agreements. (Note: I am NOT a lawyer. The information in this paragraph comes from my own experience, what I have read and what I have been told by a contract lawyer.)

Lastly, there are a lot of posts about the SEC. Although the SEC changes their mind at a whim, I believe that currently EBL is outside their jurisdiction. Why do I believe that? Because, I believe that Craig Jolly has hired the best lawyers that he could find to make sure of it. Will the SEC see it that way? Who knows! However, I speculate that the lawyers have tried to anticipate what can happen. There is always a chance that some new interpretation of the regulations and/or a new regulation will throw a monkey wrench in things. No one can predict the future. I have faith that currently EBL is about as safe as you can get.

Anyone that knows me and/or my hundreds of posts/articles/newsletters knows that there are extremely few programs that I promote. This is one of them. Until proven otherwise, I stand by my support of EBL.

JMO,
Sharon

HI ste,

From my understanding Pensco Trust was given full disclosure on what Quest Holdings does with the loans. IRA regulations are stricter than normal investments. So, for Pensco Trust to be satisfied enough to allow an IRA, they must have reviewed the financial stability and real potential of EBL and Quest Holdings. They would have also reviewed the legality. There is no way that they would approve a ponzi scheme, so EBL and Quest Holdings are not only the real deal, they are viably sound for the long term.

Perhaps epayday has more knowledge on the specifics on the type of information that was disclosed. I do know we will not be told what Quest Holdings does to make money in order to repay the loans. That just isn't going to happen.

Does this answer your question?

JMO,
Sharon

Thanks Sharon,

As i am not a US resident i am not totally familiar with IRA so not sure what level of DD they would perform. If they have investigated the why they use the loads to generate the profits, then thats great. I guess the level of DD of greater then any one of us usually performs, or is permitted t perform! I guess the IRA is a why to include investments tax free into your pension plans?

I will be looking forward to when the new web site opens again!
Cheers, ste
