Well, I sure hope people don't let PeterB off the hook that easy, which is what the enablers at GT are practically proposing. What gets me is how he has the nerve to continue projecting himself as "honest" and even as being the aggrieved party here, replete with sob-stories, when he has not made a single gesture since the "hacking incident" to make me believe he is deserving of my trust and sympathy.
About the trading statement, I contacted North Finance (the broker he is believed to have had the trading account with) for information but learned that such can't be released without some kind of legal action involved, much like the way it is with e-gold. Here's an excerpt:
Please note that we allowed passing any information about third party investments only upon request of legal authority of our country.
I may only suggest that you contact Prosecutor authority in your country of residence who may investigate this case.
Also, please be advised that we have registered IBs all over the world. Please visit us at Contact an IB to see whether there is our IB in your country of residence. If this is the situation, the person might be supporting you in your investigation.

I don't much case for PeterB's drama...cold hard e-gold in my account will prove his honesty to me.

well I haven't been close enough to the whole thing to really understand it all I was trying to follow the thread at GT but and no offense intended it's pretty much cult like there around this guy so not much of value was being offered save for a few members trying to get on track.

The whole woe is me tactic has been used many times before and it does seem very odd indeed that if a hacking did occur (not saying it didn't) if he was the stand up guy that his "following" wants everyone to believe he is, his first action would have been to instantly contact a lawyer to see about an injunction to seize the account in question... second would have been to post ALL information in the members area of the site... updating it daily as it becomes available.. this whole I need to go reflect on the beach thingy was nutty to me.

I will never understand so called investment sites that have scripts running between their site and payment processors.. that is just like putting a big red flag in front of a bull... there is NO security in that. Private means private and nothing can be private that can be accessed via a script... there are so many ways to get around doing that, that are 100% secure its amazing that so called intelligent people will rest their financial fate and reputation on scripts on a public network...

This is all true, but for your info a simple phone call from the account owner giving his broker permission to release info is acceptable as well. I know as I have personally done this in the past.. again there are a whole bunch of red flags waving in the wind on this one.

That's all it's about ... Admin is just buying time and every investor that lost their money will just forget about it ...

Personally, if I know the Admin's true identity, I'd give it another week then release it to the public ... let the public decide what's best ..

I see the sock puppets are now out in full force over at GT. It is baffling to me that anybody could use the term "immediate transparency" in regards to how the Admin has handled things.

I know a couple of people above made the comment about the Admin buying time, it would make sense if a number of people have his personal info that buying time would be a wise thing to do in that case..

This whole thing becomes more like a train wreck every day, horrifying but you just can't look away.
