I'm trying to be impartial here, so please don't throw rocks, OK ?

I don't believe that Kalter is a sock puppet. As a mod on GT I have access to user information (no, I'm not making it public, sorry) that supports him being a seperate identity to PeterB. I have ways and means of sniffing out multiple identities.

Another point is that after he joined the forum, and presumably before this trip to see PeterB, Kalter had PM'd me for "Hyip tips and tricks, DD, how to recognise the better programs" etc... something that PeterB would not do if he had created the identity.

That's my 2 cents, make of it what you will. I know the sceptics will say "That's just what a clever scammer would do" etc, etc.

I take his post at face value. Nothing more and nothing less.

Well if it's true, then that contradicts his previous claim that he can't share information about the loss because his attorney told him to remain quiet. If he can chat about it and show evidence to a stranger, then what's keeping him from doing the same with someone like Jude, who will do 100x more for his reputation?

Either way, doesn't look good for Peter.

No rocks, but some questions.

Do you not find it odd that PeterB would not give ANY information or access to either his trading account (read only) or his egold account to someone like Jude that was actually working with him, but he will to a total stranger that shows up at his door?

Do you not find it odd that in all this time PeterB could have shut every single one of his detractors up by simply allowing read only access to the trading account and five minutes of access to his egold to YOU or Jude someone trusted by most in all of this? Yet he chooses instead to go on and on about how hard done by he is?

Do you not find it odd that he has been told to NOT SAY anything to anybody about things by his lawyer but that doesn't seem to include allowing total strangers to come into his home and physically log into his Egold account?

Do you find it odd that so far in every single post I've read PeterB has still NOT been willing to answer the question as to how much money he actually lost and how much is actually left? Lots of vague references but little hard info.

Do you not find it odd that although PeterB claims the "hacker" account was frozen weeks later it was and still is only blocked which is a totally different thing (as I"m sure you know) and you can have any account blocked without a lawyer where as frozen takes legal action.

I am not saying the Kalter is a sock puppet in the true sense of the word, as in it is actually PeterB but it sure looks very much like he is working with or for him the whole story makes little to no sense.

As you are a MOD at GT we can safely assume that you've checked the IP of this post to prove in fact where he is logging in from? So that much I would assume is correct, but everything else is just a huge question mark that makes little to no sense.

You are correct to say that I checked the IP, and also did a look-up which showed a different ISP to the one PeterB uses. So I am happy enough to say that I believe they are 2 different people.

As for all your other points - Yes, I find it odd

It seems that every piece of information obtained raises more questions than it answers.

I believe that this Kalter guy is a sock puppet. You can easily visit an internet café in order to have another IP address.

Of course there is another thing to consider. I make my living as a day trader and I keep TWO net connections active, one cable and one DSL. The DSL with the better latency is ONLY plugged into my trading machine and the cable connection is for the rest of the computers in the house and my non trading machine so if in fact PeterB was a serious trader prior to this whole hacking episode he could very well have two connections... if one were to do a traceroute on my IP's there are with different ISPs due to how they are set up one actually shows as coming from another city, although they are only five minutes apart.

Good point in security, our trader does the same: 3 computers, everyone in a different case: 1 computer only to trade, another computer to enter in e-currencies or bank transfers and the other to use it normally.

Yeah I would suspect anybody that claims to trade for a living or seriously that doesn't have a dedicated machine ONLY for trading... and a back up net connection... my trading rig has NOTHING on it but trading apps and charting it's loaded and overkill for it's use buy I'd rather be safe than sorry.. plus it's behind a hardware firewall..none of that silly software firewall stuff, that is not real security...
