I agree that I am argumentative. I have a minor in logic and enjoy reasoning and debate. That's probably why I outwitted you when we argued. That's also why you hold a personal grudge against me that interferes your ability to moderate. Unfortunately, you simply are unfit for the position.
As to "lying in my fucking teeth", what on earth are you talking about? I don't think I've lied about anything either on GT or here.
I've asked to have my ban lifted because it's obviously a sham. Half a dozen people posted about how unwarranted it was. It reflects very poorly on GT when people are banned for silly reasons. It makes it look more like a biased dictatorship and much less like a medium for an exchange of views, a forum. IMO, many great forums have fallen when overzealous admins and moderators start banning people indescriminately, including many intellectuals, simply because they don't like them. Of course, some rule will be sought post hoc to justify things and to maintain an air of orderliness, but people start to see through that.
My "alter ego" was an account that I created when I was banned a month ago for disagreeing with the majority in the GFF thread. That was a ridiculous ban as well. With the second account, I was able to contact a moderator and the admin via PM. They knew it was my account. When I was banned just a few days ago, I again used this account to see the thread and to ask why I was banned. It's not an "alter-ego". As you can see, it has 2 posts. I don't use that account for my posting and didn't intend to. I was pretty confident my ban would be lifted within a few days due to the arbitrariness of it all. Unfortunately, the members' complaints fell on deaf ears.
At this point, I've done a few things that will probably preclude a reversal of the decision from ever happening. 1) I've inadvertently incited several people against Jambutty's poor moderation. 2) I've pointed out many, many instances in which peterg has used the word "bullshit". There are also several other members who have used the word. This is really embarrassing to the forum, since they claim impartiality. 3) I've questioned what the admin is thinking. When I was banned a few months ago in the GFF thread, I emailed him asking what procedures he had in place to prevent autocratic decisions, to provide warnings, and to make things fair. I think he took it personally, and never responded. So since the most active moderators and probably the admin don't care too much for me, good luck on getting a fair trial (or at this point, a fair appeal; I've already had the sham trial). Sad to see this kind of stuff happening at GT. In time, it'll bring down the forum so that all who remain are those who cheerlead and agree with the leaders of the forum.
OK. I've had enough of this crap, as I'm sure we all have. I guess this is my new home for HYIP discussion
