Because you allowed your emotions to get the better of you and you started getting a little too strident. I don't think you deserved to be banned, especially without a fair warning but, as you pointed out, Jambutty dislikes you.

It's a common theme on forums across the internet to find autocratic moderators who have a seriously impaired ability to act impartially and objectively. It's amazing how many people are unable to handle authority responsibly. A lot of moderators are like impetuous kids with no accountability and a loaded gun. It's pretty sad.

True dat. Mods are human too, though. You did some serious logical ass whuppin' on Jambutty. Made him look pretty silly. Unless he deletes those posts, they'll remain in the record as proof of what a stellar job were doing. Really quite impressive until you allowed a couple of nambies to bait you and take you off track.

I just wanted to make it clear that I have no idea who banned me. This wasn't directed to Jambutty or to any moderator in specific. The comment was about moderation at large based on my experiences on many different boards.

I'd also ask whoever has the authority to please unban me... peterg, jambutty?

Yeah whats with the ban on conciliator? Did he post something he shouldn't that has since been removed? I certainly can't see anything in his recent posts that breach the T & C. If there is a new rule that we aren't allowed to question whether a program is a scam or not then the T & C needs to be updated.

Hopefully we will get an answer unless of course I am summarily banned too. It is a great pity that some moderators allow their petty feelings to influence their actions. I have been a mod on some boards and there are times you just don't like someone but you can't go round banning people unless they breach the T & C and even then you give them a warning first.

Exactly. I'm also a moderator on another site and go out of my way to make sure I'm being objective. I usually give 2 warnings citing the reason before ever banning. I try to maximize free speech, even when I vehemently disagree with what's being said. I've seen it happen way too many times that moderators get in a little fit, dislike a post, and then censor and ban people on a whim. I really despise stuff like that.

Being secretive in these types of cases maybe prudent. I am not expecting PeterB to divulge any of his findings. What I'm asking him is to provide his lawyers contact info to Jude to verify that he indeed contacted a lawyer within 1 day of the hacking and that a subpoena had been ordered by the court.

That is all I'm asking. Lawyers often advise their clients to not discuss cases with third parties, but they require from their clients that any third party inquiries have to be directed to them.

We are the third party and we would like our inquiries answered by the lawyers. This has nothing to do with "being secretive" as lawyers know better than anyone what to reveal and what to keep between them and their client.

In my opinion, if PeterB provides proof that courts and lawyers have been involved within the time frame he mentioned, and since I highly doubt that a hyip scammer would involve the courts to give his members the impression that he was a victim, then I will have every reason to support PeterB and patiently wait for the fruits of the recovery plan.

To summarize:
The request for his lawyers info is only to verify that he engaged a lawyer within a day of the hacking and a subpoena was granted. I'm not asking for any details of the case.

Well it's pretty clear that jambutty is in fact a retard. Sorry but it's true. I belong to about a dozen trading forums and we have some really tough (but fair) mods... and we have some that act like they have been appointed GOD.. naturally JB falls into the latter category...but worse than that if I were take the worst MOD from each forum and roll them together JB would still suck as a MOD worse than them...I said it before and I'll say it again he's a bored old man from another era that refuses to believe he could EVER be wrong about anything the more you prove it the more likely you are to be banned.. plain and simple.

As for PeterB, sorry but the whole lawyer thing is 100% hogwash.. I had someone make a failed attempt at suing me last year the FIRST thing my lawyer said is DO NOT talk about it in public any questions you are asked give them my email and/or phone number I will answer any and all questions...

I really don't know what is wrong with the sheep over at GT (btw I'm renaming it ST for Sheep Talk ) but they are the most naive people I've ever seen... there is a simple bottom line.

Give somebody read only access to the trading account if you can pull up history. If not give ONE or TWO well known and trusted members the right to call his broker to confirm his balances and profit/loss that's it..case over... then we would know if he really did trade successfully or NOT.

Arrange to allow these same two people ten minutes (while online with them via IM) access to the Egold account.. prove the history looks at it should. Change the password

This entire exercise would take two minutes for a phone call to his broker and maybe 20 minutes in the case of Egold access... for less than half an hour of his time BOTH this thread and the entire thread at ST would be moot and people could move on with the business of determining where to go from here.

It is totally un-freakingbelievable that PeterB is behaving the way he is..sorry but NO honest man acts this way.

You will note yet again he was responding to his legacy builder ass kisser.. wouldn't surprise me at all if that was simply a sock puppet...

It's astounding that he believes he can just breeze in and out and say nothing of any substance or value and get away with it...oh wait.. that's exactly what he is doing.. nevermind.
