People are you all crazy, i have not checked this post in along time. it became a morbid state of mind for me and my family. i decided to do positive things to get us back on track after taking full responsibility for screwing my entire family over. I am not posting!!!!!!!! as ANY ONE BUT MYSELF!!!! check the IP addresses smart asses and every time someone suggests this i get 20 phone calls at my new job as well as death threats at my home. i get it it!! the people that got things want to keep them at all costs and those of us that actually worked and got under paid in comparison to skills and performance are persacuted. my family had absolutely nothing to do with my taking a job as a chef and should not pay for "my mistake" for accepting a job that followed my passion which was to cook. those of you who ate, even after me being told it was for "CLIENTS and TRADERS ONLY" Please understand that i expressed great issues to who ever was in the front office at the time that i could not be the "SOUP NATZI" i was raised if you do not have enough for everyone then you don't eat in front of them. All i wanted to do was cook good food for every one. Have you ever tried to cook the exact "same thing" for regular diets, low cal diets, vegetarians, vegans, allergy deficient, and soy free as well as making soy free, preservative free meals and have them all look and taste the same? No easy task in that crazy kitchen. and all done with a 200.00 a day budget? That was love to you from me. take it how ever you will.

I have spoken to many financial savy people since this fiasco some Presidents of World wide corporate companies, two of which i worked directly underneath, and was told that givng inexperienced " rough hands" responsibilities would exonerate the actual thief himself. he could hand over what a waiter to think a surpluss of wealth to "trade" but that trader is using a computer you bought and programmed for him. you gave him the exact site to go too. (anybody ever watched a movie on the web?) it can play any point the controller wants.

I actually paid initially 96 dollars the day i was told to clean out the cabinets, refrigerators, and my equipment. And the fact that the front office asked me to do this knowing i was out of pocket on all of these things raises my respect for them.... they actually cared' they were given the painful job of closing what was as they said was a potentially desperate situation for any woman in the office for the next few days.

Where were all the MEN IN THE OFFICE DURING THIS I ASK YOU!!!~!~
I loaded my truck as full as possible, Kim I am sorry i could not load your freezer, Maria, i know their were things of yours i couldn't fit. There were many things of my own i could not take, tables, chairs, pots and pans cabinets and such....

ALL i can say is Julie I tried to do "YOU THE RIGHT THING!!!!!!!" Thanks for the Friendship that lasted a day!!!!!!

A Chattanooga man who authorities say bilked investors across the nation of at least $31 million made his first appearance in court Tuesday on criminal charges of federal mail, wire and securities fraud.

Arrested Friday in Topeka, Kan., during a traffic stop, Luis H. Rivas appeared before a U.S. magistrate judge in that city and requested an “identity hearing,” according to court officials.

The hearing, scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m., forces the government to prove it indeed has found the man whom hundreds claim stole their money.

With the criminal charges pending in U.S. District Court in Greenville, S.C., Mr. Rivas is expected to be extradited to the Southeast in coming weeks, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Bob Cheli, a LaFayette, Ga., man who late last year gave property worth $106,000 to Mr. Rivas and was promised a 5 percent monthly return on the investment, still is wondering how he could have fallen into what authorities now call a classic Ponzi scheme. Such a scam takes money from new investors to pay fraudulent returns to earlier investors.

“I took a risk, and I lost,” Mr. Cheli said.

More than 500 people are believed to be victims like Mr. Cheli, having lost individual investment amounts ranging from a couple of thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars when promises of monthly returns as high as 10 percent either fizzled or never materialized at all.

Angry creditors from South Carolina filed an involuntary bankruptcy action against Mr. Rivas in early June, weeks before federal investigators filed the details of their criminal case against him.

Creditors at the time already were concerned that Mr. Rivas, who abruptly shuttered his Chattanooga office in mid-May and went missing, was in the process of liquidating his assets and trying to leave the country.

Authorities later said that Mr. Rivas had closed offices in Knoxville; Spartanburg, S.C.; Orlando, Panama City, Fla.; and Tulsa, Okla., as well. He had a collective monthly payroll bill of about $1 million for more than 200 employees, authorities said.

There is evidence that Mr. Rivas actually quit investing money in the foreign currencies market in October while continuing to solicit money from new investors, authorities said. All the while, Mr. Rivas was living an expensive lifestyle and buying lavish gifts for certain employees and relatives at the expense of investors, officials said.

U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee Grey Steed, who is in charge of investigating Mr. Rivas’ finances and identifying whatever assets remain, said he hopes Mr. Rivas will help them trace the missing money.

About $3.5 million in cash and other luxury goods such as real estate, jewelry and furs has been recovered so far, said Mr. Steed, but it’s a far cry from what investors put in.

“We’re doing everything we can to get the money back for these creditors,” Mr. Steed said.

i want to take a mintue and defend queen, i have known her awhile and i know how great of a person she is, i know the lake house was a six month lease and i don't think she was lived there for a few months so thats a nonissue now, i personally don't think she had anything to do with the ponzi scheme and worked many many hours with little sleep tring to get the investors back their money...........she was NOT a call girl and was coned by him just like all of you....

First off, JOY doesn't need anyone to defend her. The only time anyone attacks her it is because she opened her mouth and said something completely irrelevant and stupid. She is hardly a victim, getting knocked up by someone who was a con doesn't make you a victim to what has happened to all the ones who lost their investments. Women get pregnant by men everyday that promised they would love them forever, you don't see them on forums slamming random people that took away their "gravy train". As far as her trying to get investors money back..... You're kidding right??? The only thing on her mind was catching that boat he was sending her, getting away with him and blowing the rest of the investors money.

I just wanted to agree with what you said about Queen. She loved attacking others and calling them out on what they received or got from Luis on this forum, but EVERYTIME someone questioned her and asked what she received, and whether or not she told the trustee of those items, she just got quiet and like now, be out of the picture. And as for the other person saying it "was just a 6 month lease" on the lake house and now a "non issue". How is that a non issue? That was our (all investors) money that paid for the house, and the fact that she didn't even spend all the time there futher infuriates me that it was money wasted....I can't even afford to take my kids on a vacation this summer due to our money that was lost, but people such as queen had a 6 month lease on a lake house ...must be nice!..
..And again, I want to state, no one forced me to invest with Luis, I did it on my own free will....no one to blame but myself, but just ticks me off that some of the people there had to have known something was going on and never said anything...(and yes, i believe that there were many who worked there that were kept in the dark, not talking to them, I'm talking to the ones that were higher up in the business...)
