Sorry. The fact I invested money in this and got duped is my fault, but also gives me a voice. If you don't agree with what I say, then that's your opinion. However, I saw all these warning signs and still did it. Don't take it personally...if you don't fit into this equation, then don't lump yourself into it by default. I don't think everyone who worked for Luis knew what he was doing or even knew his intentions, but I think there was and still are some who did.

reading your post brought back such memories, got eveyone of those excuses, but did you get the one where he said he had "Fired all the incompetants" and would have to open a new account and send monies from that account once set up? It's so sad to think I invested everything with Lou and that one person was right, did any of us think of a background check....we were all dazzled by him....sickens me....I have no one to blame but myself....and what's worse is I still have this little ray of hope that I'll get my money back....

You're obviously missing the point Satellite101... yes, you certainly have a right to a voice in this but if I'm not mistaken, you were quick to call everyone else "idiots", not yourself until now. My point in writing to you directly was to express my anger of you demeaning all traders based on appearances... that's YOU that lumped us into this equation... you're comment wasn't "by default." I can assure you that NO TRADER was aware of what was going on. Now, to be a little polite, I'm sorry for your loss and as with anyone else, I hope everyone gets their investments back... but stop your callous name calling and judging. Deal with the real issue at hand.

How did you hear about the conference call last night? I wasn't notified but wish I had of known so I could have heard all the details. Who is running these updates? Can anyone help me out with a few of my questions . .

1) Are you certain the FBI is involved at this point? Has anyone verified this?
2) Since all the money isn't there to pay us back, is there a plan to at least give us back a portion of it?
3) I know some people who received gifts from Lou (such as cars, fur coats, house, etc) and would like to report it so they can be repossessed to get our money back. Who do we tell?
4) Who is the attorney in Chattanooga working on the case?
5) Does anyone know anything about Steve Johnson? He is the one who got us involved in the scam and would like to know if anyone thinks he's involved. He has not responded to any emails or phone calls for weeks now.

Thank you all for sharing your information. This is a great place for us all to keep each other in the loop about what's going on. It impossible to find anyone else to give us information.

Chattgirl, I'm really sorry for your loss. Don't be too hard on yourself. Our end DID do background checks and had PI's and could find nothing substantial. He hid all of that very well and when confronted with what was available, claimed "stolen identity". Put that with all the "good" things he would do and.....well....here we are. He's a very bad bad person ( I'm being polite) whose deceit knows no boundaries. He'll even look you in the eye with a smile all the while. He will get his. I have to trust that Karma will kick in.

Trader, I wasn't able to see this till today, read posts yesterday morning and was running all day, my family has large investments at stake here, is there anyway to get a recap or talk to someone abut what went down?

I definately think that would be the thing to do...I missed the phone call last night and had I known about it would have definately been involved. A forum/blog dedicated to The Forex Project would be perfect for people to post things etc. Regarding that conference call, who set it up? Was the post from Trader the only notification of the call? If not, how did they find out?

The plain fact is we are all in the same boat, pointing the finger and blaming others isn't going to change anything....No one pointed a gun at me and told me to invest, I have no one to blame but myself..but there has got to be something we can all do or ways to get better reliable updates....Any ideas?

KHAMM4, thank you for the update...do you know the name of the Chattanooga attorney that was mentioned? Who are we supposed to report the info to? I'm not looking to start trouble, i have been very calm throughout all this, and plan to stay that way, nothing anyone can do, but I would like to stay in the loop and be informed as new information comes to light ...Like last night, I had no idea a conference call was going to happen until it was too late, I really would have liked to have been in on it... Thanks so much for all your information.

Chattgirl, Khamm4 pretty much has the summary. It probably isn't good to mention specific strategies publicly on this board. They did say they are planning a second conference call Monday night. You could try sending an email to forexupdate1-owner@yahoogroups.com and ask them to put you on the email list. The issue they had with the call was there were only 96 slots so I'm sure many people didn't get to listen. They are trying to get more for the next meeting. There were three people that ran the call and they identified themselves as equity agents. At this point write down any information you have and at some point in the future they will let you know who would get it. They said that they were involved in initiating the involuntary bankruptcy and were advised by an attorney that that was the best thing to do at this point. The case# is 08-12333. I called the court in Chat. and they said the next step would be they would send out a summons that Lou would need to answer by June 9 (fat chance of that) and then it would probably be another 20 days before a hearing.
