I agree Alan.

Mbtrading is very good although the platform is hard when you begin. Some tech issues from time to time but very good and reliable. And yes, only $400.
If you need hedging then this broker is not for you (they donīt offer hedging).

I have tested it a lot without problems.

Yes definitely it isn't as intuitive and easy to use as MT4, or maybe is it that way because we're all so used to MT4. In either case once you get used to the platform then you should have no problem trading.

As for hedging I rarely use it so this wouldn't be a problem for me.

Have you looked at HotSpotFX by any chance?

Yes, of course, but only in demo. I posted some words about mbtrading and hotspotfx in my Blog.
I am also probing dukaskopy.

If I'm not mistaken their platform is identical to that of MBTrading. The same goes for dukascopy. I haven't played around with Dukascopy just yet, but I like the fact that they're located in Switzerland and also that a lot of institutional traders use their platform.

Another thing that I'd like if I could to get into is their managed accounts program. From the past performance it looks like a real winner.

They are not the same, but they are not very difficult.
Hospotfx is easier than mbtrading (platform navigator) but now efxgroup (who joined mbtrading) has a new "platform" by web in a beta version and mbtradingīs clients can use it too with the username and password. In fact this type of trading will become part of mbtrading in the future too.

The problem is that you only can use it with Windows o.s. and explorer (with dukascopy you use it by web too and in any operative systems, I use it with my mac). Mbtrading says that they will try to do the best for all operative systems in the future.

Hotspotfx has a platform "to download", itīs different from traders like you and me (lol) than institutionals (hotspotfxi.com) but very easy to use both. Try by yourself Alan

hmmm..yeah, thanks for the info. I will have to give their platform a try. Soon I'm going to need an ECN broker as I'm sick and tired of bucketshops hunting my stops.
