private forum for private programs
It would be good to have a private forum (IE access only available for members with certain amount of posts) where we could discuss private programs always with the programs approval.

Re: private forum for private programs
I suggest to leave the forum alive without logging again after some minutes and having to delete cookies.

HI 24oz,
Jude and I discussed this before the forum opened, so I feel comfortable answering. Jude decided that the forum should be open to everyone that registers. Creating special permissions for this folder and not that folder is not only cumbersome and difficult to maintain, it is almost impossible to keep up with who is joining and who is leaving a program.
So, thank you for the suggestion, but we'll have to pass.
Thanks,
Sharon
(Jude: correct me if I'm wrong.)

Hi Jose,
I'm not sure what you mean. I know that if I log in without checking "remember me", I get logged out after several minutes of inactivity. However, if you check the "remember me" box while logging in, it won't log you out unless you click logout or clear your cookies.
Let me know if this doesn't answer you and/or if I've completely misunderstood what you're asking.
Thanks,
Sharon

Re: private forum for private programs
24oz, as what sharon has said, we've come to a conclusion on being open; and not limiting to users who has x number of posts to see a secret thread suddenly pop out from nowhere.
Information should be shared openly, be it a poster who has 0 post or one who has a 1,000. (But at least the user should register with us)
We'll see how it goes after NN picks up before deciding anything new; and our team of moderators will be there to decide on the new stuffs with me.
