Is it possible to change this white backgroundcolor into another color?

Hi, fred. Welcome to the forum.
Jude is a very reasonable sort and open to suggestion but changing the background color is more than a "little change".  LOL!
What color do you have in mind?

Hoo boy. I can feel us starting the slide down the slippery slope. LOL!
It's gonna' be tough settling on a color that pleases everyone. In fact, I'd say it's impossible. White is a bit stark though, I agree.
Black? Hm...from one extreme to the other.
I predict his thread could get rather popular.

I suppose jude would make another darker theme (variation), which could be user selectable.. i think these forums support such options.

SilvaLayout is the way to go, it allows you to do things in a modular way, and outside the ZODB, so that you can easily backup and version the layout part of your application/site. Which version of Silva are you using, and what does it's PRODUCTS.txt say is the right version of Five?
