Default Firefox Addons Discussion

Hi all, to all FF users, which addons do you use?

================

Noscript; It's a must for me. Started to use it when I begin with surfs.
Fasterfox; it just speeds up loading of sites a little, I swear it does!
Roboform XPI; else my Pass2Go can't load
Google Toolbar; Hmm, For PageRank and search purposes
DD Toolbar; Curt's baby, makes it easy for me to check on sites for DD.

Hi Jude.

It monitors your screen and notifies you if there is something
that is trying to "read" your screen aka, a keylogger etc and it
is working great.

I have it running as an extra security, noscript is great but you
never know.

I use way too many extensions, but other ones I like are:

Netcraft Toolbar
: Shows the risk rating, creation date. site rank, and hosting company for the site.
Forecastfox: Local forecast is in the status bar, as well as a little pop-up for storm warnings.
Adblock and Adblock Plus: Blocks 99% of ads from showing.
DownThemAll: If there are many downloads on a page, like a list of e-books, this will download them all. It saves from doing them one at a time.
ShowIP: Shows the IP address of the site in the status bar.
Who Is This Person?: Does a search in multiple places on someone's name, using on click.
IE View and IE Tab: Allows you to see a page that looks or works better in IE, without leaving firefow.
MR Tech Link Wrapper: Wraps long links in text. It saves you from scrolling left and right.
Cookie Button in the status bar and CookieCuller: Manages cookie permissions.

I have a few others, but the above are the ones that I like in addition to Jude's list.

JMO,
Sharon

Let's see, currently using....*checks extensions*

Roboform, SearchStatus, Live PageRank, Live HTTP Headers, FireBug

And the award for the most useful extension goes to - FireBug - I swear I don't know how I managed without it previously! For web developing, its error reporting and page download stats are indispensible!

Although a quick warning, it can make you a little obsessive about optimisation of web pages (its surprising how much time you can waste with it lol).

I forgot to ask.

Does NoScript and the other extensions work good on FireFox 2.0, because i still have 1.5.0.11?

Is there any other reason why i should change to FireFox 2.0?

HI Fred,

I'm running NoScript and all my other extensions on FF 2.0 without any problem. There were a couple of bumps day one, but by day two they were resolved. Personally, I always update to the lates FF and then get all of my addon updates. So far that's worked well.

JMO,
Sharon
