Default Macbook or Macbook pro?

I am thinking to buy a macintosh laptop. I know that Macbook Pro is great but very expensive. Anyone here can tell me if there is a great difference between a Macbook and a Macbook Pro with that difference in price?

What I donīt like is the design in Macbook with all these separated keys and that bright screen but inside the machine with Leopard I donīt see many differences.

Have you used both?, what do you think?

Thanks.

Well, finally I ordered a macbook pro 2.4 Hoping to receive this computer at the end of this month.

I will use parallels to trade with windows inside and I also bought today the Airport Extreme router, very happy with it.

Very easy and with a lot of features that you will be surprised Jude, and of course with great security. Itīs like a freebsd os but made as easy as Vista and with many more animations and features than Vista :P Itīs another world.

See the videos in apple website with Leopard

My friend in my job has a macbook pro and I am totally in love with it. And with this router itīs very easy to set up the wireless connection and being secured with the latest technology (only some clicks).

Note that the first graphics on screen were from this people, not from windows

And of course itīs an unix operative system with all that security inside.

oh yeah..I was so impressed with the Leopard videos..It had me drooling. I really want a mac too because let's face it Windows XP sucks, and Vista sucks even more.

I'd like to have a Mac Pro with 8 CPUs and 8 gb of ram and one of those apple cinema widescreen displays *drool*

Ha ha Alan, you are asking too much :P

I am also very happy with this nice router (Apple - AirPort Extreme) in my wireless connection. Great design, security and bandwith at my home

heheh..perhaps I am asking too much, but then again even on the PC side I like to have high performance machines.

At this point I'd be happy if I found any cheap mac laptop or desktop just cause I want to play around with Mac OS X.

As for your Airport, is the wireless connection stable? Does it drop sometimes?

Until now I am using this router with my toshiba laptop (in Windows) with an usb wireless key (conceptronic 802.11 n WPA2) and very stable.
My macbook pro will arrive in 1 week

I had an UsRobotics router before and my connection was lost many times and I had to unplugged this router, now itīs going great with this Airport Extreme but itīs soon to tell, Iīve got it only some days ago, but I love it.

yeah those USR routers suck...I have a D-Link DGL-4300 gaming router and it's simply the best. It can handle so many torrents running at the same time that it's not even funny. Also it has support for packet prioritization so for example you can give higher network priority to your internet games - like counter strike for example. Then again this router was pretty expensive at the time that I bought it so I guess the old saying of "you get what you pay for" still applies.

What I like about Apple products is their style. Undoubtedly they've got style and beauty wraped into one. Also let's not forget that Macs just work. Due to the simplified hardware environment Apple has pretty much made sure that your mac will work without any hitches or any weird unpredictable "spookiness" as windows folks experience.

But, and this is a bit but, what I don't like about Apple's products is that they're so darn expensive. You can get the same - if not more - computing power on the PC side for a LOT less. Apple lacks "bang for the buck". They're brilliant at marketing so I guess people are willing to pay the extra dollars for the "apple experience".

Maybe down the road I'll buy some sort of Mac but at this point I'm quite happy with my powerhouse PC.

I've bought a few routers and i'll give -10 stars to Linksys stuffs. probably the one that scores well with me will be Netgear's.
