Yeah Linksys routers are not bad. It seems to me that ever since Cisco bought Linksys the quality of their products has improved. The WRTG series is pretty good. Another neat thing about them is that you can put linux on them with linux firmware such as OpenWRTG or DD-WRT (my favorite).

I don't have much experience with Netgear so I cannot comment on them. Right now I have a D-Link DL4300 gaming router because it's a beast. It's got 32 MB of memory and can handle so many open connections that it's not even funny - perfect for running bittorrents!
