Well I've long known of NOBS network but to date just haven't made the time to post here...well I've finally made it. In a work where so many folks are FOS it's an apt name to be certain!
I'm very much involved in a number of opportunties that I'm certain will be of interest to many folks that vist this forum. Like a great many of you I've been taken...and take for quite a bit. Thats not say I didn't make some $$ either, thankfully. Due in large part to a successful asociation with FX trader I lived a dream lifestyle on tropical island, bought a charter boat (a bitching new 7.5 cat with 2 x 150 hondas), have hauled 60kg plus Tuna over the side, a brand new seadoo 150hp jet ski to play on the waves and do some tow in surfing, secured exclusive surfing access to remote atol and left it all to travel....yes, one could say I (well my lady and I) had it good – real good.
One day it ended in a big hurry.....my lady's and I portfolio was weighted just a little too heavy with this one trader you see and overnight we were decimated. At the time had about 250k with this trader. Well almost decimated I say, as we had some diversification but most of the rest of our "investments" soon disappeared.....anyone who was a part of Feeder Funds projects travelled the same road. Ol MC seemed to be the man....twas not the case after all...seems his DD just didn't amount to much.
You could say that we were somewhat disappointed, seems there was just a little too much "bullshit" going on. Given all this we though we could do better ourselves. Talk is cheap they say, so act we did.
OK...off to to my Lawyer buddy who just happens to be an ex Australian Tax Office lawyer...he'll be able to put into place what we want (an offshore structure designed to pool investors). Wrong! - over 20k and 6 month later to cut a long story short..we get our money back. Ok back to the search...next I find someone who is alot more accommodating and considerably more cost effective, so we get into place an LDC structure out of Belize and proceed to open various managed accounts after considerable due diligence. Well months later we realize some truth and tricks of the FX traders...long story short is after over twelve months and quite a few traders we finally are left with/settle just two. Am pleased to say that continue to do very well for us and have track records measured in years now, not months.
Not that the story ends there...you see our OS structure man had some pretty vicious runours running in the negative...warning signs...so I set out to fnd yet another service provider and finally I find one. An ex Aussie corporate lawyer living on tropical island tax haven..and surfer to boot. Of course we get on like the kindred spirits we are. OK, Part two of the equation in place.
Next....just two traders don't quite cut it...diversification is the key. Along the way I've done a fair bit of trading..with real money on the line. Of course I learnt all about the realties of FX trading and why it is that 95% of folks lose. After a hard fought battle to get this far it becomes clearer..the trend really is your friend. Get on board a long term and ride it....we pick gold and oil...only to discover that the brokerage that does oil just doesn't deal with OS companies with bearer shares. We settle on the next best..gold and silver at a brokerage that does and employ a very basic system with components from good trader buddies I've come to know and even some freedom rocks ingredients (yes been there too).
OK, so going forward we have ourselves two very good traders and simple system to follow golds rise which has to date worked very well.
