This is a classic example of a pyramid scheme updated for the age of the internet. Back in the day this was called a "chain letter" and it was conducted entirely through snail mail. The US Postal Service declared them illegal many years ago. Make no mistake folks, the only person that stands a chance of "Turn(ing) $10 into $36,000 in 30 Days with E-gold" is the scammer who originally started the "letter", i.e. the guy at the top of the "pyramid".
Of course it's possible, we hope, the authorities will catch up to him first and throw his young a$$ in jail where it belongs.

I agree with Opie, so I moved this thread to scam and removed the e-gold information, instead of the advertising folder. Normally advertising is open to all programs. However, this is not a program and while it is not illegal, it is a huge scam. I know that it was mentioned on Oprah, but that doesn't legitimize it in any way.

Please do not fall for the electronic version of this very old version of the snail mail scam. The US and most (all?) other countries have outlawed it as mail fraud because it is a pyramid scheme. As all pyramid schemes do, it may make money for those doing it early, but it will reach maximum saturation and the majority people at the bottom lose their $XX and receive nothing.

Think about it. If you participate in this type of scam, you are giving money to a scammer and you become a scammer taking from others.

Agreed. That's why I thought it better to put in the scam folder rather than delete it outright (thanks, Sharon!). It also creates an archival record, a rogues gallery. It's good to remember your history.
