I opened up an USD account mainly to take advantage of the strong CAD. Yes the EUR account might be a good idea if you are betting that the EUR will significantly rise in value. I do believe the USD will continue to decline but I highly doubt that it will tank completely as the US government will definitely step in and do something to prevent a major decline.

I've found the FXDD auto tools to be quite good. Customer support is also helpful. I would recommend that you read the tutorial and practice with the backtesting feature for a few days before switching to real money. Some of the strategies are not so good, some are amazing. My results have been good so far and as I get better at fine tuning the parameters I should hopefully see even better performance. You also want to make sure that you do not have it set to allow large draw downs. Keep your trading to 10%-20% of your account and you will always be better off.

I stopped auto trading with FXDD a long time ago, but I am curious if you've had much success and what was your starting account size?
