CRYPTOCard
Anyone uses CRYPTOCard with E-bullion? I feel like getting one but I think $99.50 is tad expensive just for the extra security features. Comments?

Re: CRYPTOCard
I rarely use EB so the expense just can't be justified for me.
The extensive security measures I employ with e-gold have served me well so far and I think they work just fine for e-bullion.
That said, if e-gold offered a similar service, I'd seriously consider it.

I concur. If E-gold is introducing such features, most of us wouldn't mind paying. I think it's our preference to which digital bullion we use after all, lol

Hi Jude - Yes I have one and use it. I also think $99 is too expensive, but I got it for the peace of mind. Apparently e-Bullion's policy is that if your money gets stolen and you don't have a Cryptocard, they won't help you get the money back. By the way, I did hear last year of a guy getting 15,000 dollars stolen out of his account (he didn't have a cryptocard). Instead if you do have a card, they will assist you fully in getting your money back. At one point last year I was holding 6 figures in my e-Bullion account so I couldn't take the risk - I got one, and I'm glad I have it.
If you're never going to hold more than a few k in there, maybe it's not worth it. But anything more than that, I'd definitely get it!

Re: CRYPTOCard
Wow 6 figures. I'd get the card definitely if I'm you
So how does it work? You get the Cryptocard and you need not login anymore?

Re: CRYPTOCard
Once you have the cryptocard, you no longer need the password. You enter your account number (and don't type a password), then click sign in. On the next screen it'll give you a number. You put that number into your Cryptocard (your Cryptocard is protected by a 5 digit PIN, plus because it's only in your physical possession) and it'll spit back another code. You put that code in the site, then click sign in.. and that's it, you're in. Some banks have a similiar system, it's pretty secure...

Re: CRYPTOCard
EMO included a CryptoCard while they were still operating. It's one of the many reasons I like them. Their CryptoCard was optional and free.

Re: CRYPTOCard
Paypal had a very similar card and they only charge $5 for it. $99.50 is way too much.
