Re: Nsfg
I just read their report. Any feedback how this techincal error occured and is it plausible for those who actually trade themselves.

Re: Nsfg
Someone posted at GT that NSFG Trading Reports thread at Gold-Horizons came back alive.
Ken posted a short message with 2.5% profit so far up on the 12th.
Nice to see the once dead thread relived

Re: Nsfg
Ken reports April closed out a bit over 10%. It's a roller coaster.

Re: Nsfg
I was in NSFG over a year ago with $10k and intended to ramp up to an MA, but pulled all but $100 out in a couple months later (last April, I think). Fortunate timing, as it turned out. I don't recall any specifics about how Ken trades and can't remember the forum where they have the dedicated section (gold something-or-other?), and so I can't bring that up to look at his previous trading commentary. I did note in one demonstration of a trade (either on the NSFG site or on one of the pdfs they've issued) that Ken was using Raghee Horner's Wave (three 34 period EMAs, one each for HLC) for entry signals. Anyone else that trades and is a bit more informed have anything to contribute on Ken as a trader: what strategies/indicators/system(s) does he use, what money management parameters, etc.? Just curious....

Re: Nsfg
Hmm, well I just looked at the update again and the return was actually 10.94%.
Andrew, the forum you're thinking of is Gold-Horizons. Nsfg maintains a private folder there.
It's all greek to me but here's Ken's latest email update. Maybe someone can decipher the strategy he's using.

Trading Report - April 2007
April has been a terrific month in the markets. It started off a little slowly with the Easter week, where volume was muted, but slowly the markets began to pick up the pace and we have seen some very nice movements across the board this month. First and foremost, we have seen the US Dollar depreciate against almost every other currency except the Japanese Yen, but the Yen itself has also had some decent moves against other higher yielding currencies as carry traders repositioned themselves several times. April was also the month where the Pound hit the big 2.0000 level against the Greenback and the Euro came within 5 pips or so of the all time high around 1.3670. Should be interesting to see if the US Dollar can mount some kind of a correction in the coming weeks now that the heavy majority of the market is short the dollar.
Throughout the month we have approached the markets very carefully and only selected the very best setups. This has led to some days being very slow with little or no action happening and other days where activities were high. Let's look at some statistics... The end month result is +1,177 pips which is +777 pips above our weekly target range and above the magical +1,000 pips mark. Equity gain overall ended at +10.94% which is twice our monthly goal and that was after having completed 113 individual trades. 80 of these ended as winning trades and 33 ended as losing trades. That is a very good win ratio of over 71%. Biggest individual win was +131 pips and biggest individual loss was -54 pips. This last week in April was truly great. With a win ratio of 87.5% we made a massive 695 pips this week alone. So all in all we traded through 4 weeks in April and won all 4 of them. Not much else to ask for.
It was truly a pleasure to trade through an entire month without experiencing any technical or administrative problems whatsoever. It gave our trading strategies the time needed to prove its high worth in both ranging and trending market conditions. Our second trader Kelvin still needs some time to kick into gear. He was down around -1.3% (Included in the +10.94%) after April which is within a very acceptable draw down range. He is currently refining some of his own techniques and we look forward to having the two trading strategies complement each other. In May we are once again forced to begin on a very careful footing, as we need to get past lots of holidays in week 18. Goal there is to get around +50 pips if possible but otherwise just remain risk averse and sidelined.
I hope everyone will enjoy the wonderful spring month ahead and I look forward to another good trading month with NSFG.
Ken

Taking a pinch of salt to whatever results they post already. They've fabricated the results earlier when the seizure happen, they could do it again.

Quote:
Good Evening Everyone,
Well June is now over, and we are closer to Christmas, than we are from it....scary thought!
Well we have good news, good news and bad news....when given the option I always like to sandwich the bad news in between the good, so here goes.
June ended very well for us with a gross figure of 16.42% and while by any bench mark this is an excellent return, we still felt a little disappointed because we left many pips on the table and had we traded a few trades slightly longer we could have had a few extra %. The perfectionist in us do not like this, and while we realise that we can not get every move, we still don't like it when we miss them.
Still 16.42%, which Nets as 12.32%, is a great figure to end the quarter with and one which we are happy with despite the above. We are now looking forward to Quarter Three and breaking the cycle of winning month, losing month, winning month. We are very confident that we will and so far everything looks very good.
Okay Bad News, Egold is still playing silly buggers at the moment and while things do seem to be moving along and many exchangers are opening up, it is for small amounts and often they get swamped and close again pretty quickly. There have been a few exchangers that require rediculous levels of due diligence that are just not practical.
The situation has improved greatly from last month, however it is still not got to the point where we can safely, and with any confidence, perform a transfer into egold and therefore we have to extend the policy of no withdrawals or deposits for the month of July.. I would like to thank everyone that has replied to my request last month asking for other suitable online currencies, I was inundated with replies and am currently looking into them at this time. Please don't send any more as I am just getting lots of duplicates now.
Okay, onto the second piece of good news, July has also started off extremely well and after just 2 trading days into the month, we are already up to a 7% gain. This will mean that we will almost certainly break the cycle of winning month, losing month mentioned above and give us great kick start going into the second half of the year. Ken and I plan on having positive months from this point forward for the remainder of the year so that we can return a very nice annual percentage for 2007 and with the strategies that we are now using, along with the addition of the Hedging Strategy we are extremely confident of doing this!
Statements will be coming out to you all tomorrow, again as always I apologise in advance if you get several copies of it.
To you guys across the pond, have a great 4th July tomorrow and to everyone else, I hope you have a great month as it looks like another good one!
Speak to you soon,
Paul

Re: Nsfg
well, I'm still in NSFG. there's been so many ups and downs (mostly downs). any news on how it going for July so far? The last I heard was that they'd locked in a profit of 7% (or something) in early July or maybe I'm mistaken...
