John blew the whistle on his own program and has stopped it as of right now. HE is wanting people to vote as to if they want to keep the Long term plan running or not or refund out what he can.

It's ironic. Riding on reputation to run a program is not exactly a thing that I'd do.

Time to move on, hopefully the quality of his blog isn't affected.

Personally, it doesn't effect my view of John nor his Blog. It's tough being an admin and pleasing the masses. I don't envy the position he was in. No doubt he learned a lot of painful yet invaluable lessons from this experience ...

The long term effect on his reputation is, imo, nil ...

Unfortunately I have a completely different viewpoint. Only the referral whores, a privilege few and the scammer himself made thousands taken from members when he closed the program after 19 days. The majority members will lose most or a part of their upgrades. He mislead the public with his posting the days before the overnight closing to lure in money[read his daily reports eg. Quote 5th March - So you can see am not running with any money. Am truly working for you… to keep this programme going strong!
So… over the next two weeks we all must work together to keep 9planetnosurf alive and well to give me a chance to start backing up all plans via outside sources of income, namely via Currency Exchange trading with a legitimate Broker. After that 9planetnosurf cannot be called anything but a self-sustaining and private loan programme.
I am very excited about this ............

What a fraudster, and don,t give me that bull.... that nobody forced members to upgrade. Any fool know that ,but that is not the issue at all.

When I joined this dangerous surfing/hyip world two years ago crooks like this was rightfully "banned" and even reported to the authorities. For their own sake they rather disappeared from the surfing world. Lately they continue normally as if nothing has happened and even have the sympathy and support of some people [not difficult to work out who] .What a sick world this is indeed.

I'm with Dolphin on this one. John will refund those not in profit and all of the deposits made on the last day. Although, the last 4 days of positive posts were deceptive, I think that John was trying to increase enthusiasm/spends to keep the program going.

John told everyone right from the beginning that the short programs were a game and were based on deposits, so no one should be surprised that it ended. I think what caught everyone off guard was that 1. all of the posts from John were positive, so there were no hints of red flags and 2. it closed much sooner than anyone, especially John, predicted.

I'm a fan of John's blog and will continue to read it daily. Just because you run a blog, doesn't mean you can run a program. As John found out the hard way, they are two very different things. I wouldn't put John in the "scammer" category. I think he fits more in the "tried, but failed" category.

I'm leaning closer to jannie's side but probably less anguish than she is right now at this point since my funds were never in this program in the first place.

What irks me (my personal opinions, feel free to discuss):

How he's handling his unhappy crowd. Untactful, and it feels more provocating than comforting that group.

He shouldn't be out ranting even he did state in the first place this is going to be game; why start one when you have that many readers that follow and trust you in the first place when you know it'll end somewhere down the road?

Yes we can learn, from mistakes. But there're so many mistakes done by all the rest of the programs that failed and he should have picked up from there and have all these thought out carefully if he were to run one; he has been around long enough.

I was sickened by that post, too, Jannie. It was just childish and as you pointed out, arrogant. I've seen other childish posts by John, but tended to just chalk them up to John ranting. Such a shame that this post shows an ugly side of John.

If you can overlook his childish posts, he does have early warning flags in other posts. However, many will not forgive him and will refuse to believe anything he says. That is their perogative. It's always a good idea to check what anyone says with other information.

Sharon brought up a good point. No matter how much differences you have in opinions, it's still good to check on each other with more information to make a decision.

I'll still read his blog from time to time to see if there's anything that's worth taking a look.
