Default Wordpress 2.3 Is A Piece Of Junk
In case anyone is thinking of updating to the new version of Wordpress, 2.3, don't!

It's so full of bugs and non-backward compatible new "features" that the older version is far better for now.

And what to the developers say about the griping by two million dedicated users? Basically: Shut the hell up. What do you want for free you ingrates.
The WP team seem to have destroyed some of the loyal following they have enjoyed with this one, judging from the ongoing "arguments" coming from their plugin and theme developer community.
